Local Budget — Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 11, 2026

Local Budget (formerly Tally) is a personal budgeting app published by Triplet Notes LLC ("we," "us"). The short version: we don't collect your data, and it never reaches us.

We do not collect your data

Local Budget has no account system, no login, and no servers we control. We do not collect, receive, store, sell, or share any of your personal or financial information. We cannot see your transactions, balances, statements, budgets, or anything else you enter or import. There is no analytics SDK, no advertising, no third-party tracking, and no crash-reporting service that transmits your data.

Your financial data stays on your device

Everything you import or create in Local Budget — credit card statements, transactions, budgets, bills, income, savings goals, labels, and notes — is stored locally on your device. It is not uploaded to us or any third party. If you delete the app, that data is removed from your device.

iCloud (your private Apple account)

Two optional features use your own iCloud account. In both cases the data goes only to Apple's iCloud under your Apple ID — we have no access to it:

Your use of iCloud is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Purchases

Local Budget offers an optional subscription, Local Budget Pro. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment-card details. Apple provides us only the anonymous subscription status needed to unlock Pro features. Subscriptions are handled under Apple's terms and privacy policy.

Notifications

If you enable bill or reminder notifications, they are scheduled and delivered locally on your device. No notification content is sent to us.

Children's privacy

Local Budget is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. Because the app collects no information at all, this poses no additional risk.

Data retention and deletion

We hold none of your data, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete. You control your data entirely: delete individual records in the app, use "Delete All Data" in Settings, or remove the app to erase everything stored locally. The single import-count value in your iCloud Key-Value Store is removed when you sign out of iCloud or delete the app and clear its iCloud data.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles information, we will update this policy and revise the effective date above before the change ships.
