Local Budget

Local Budget turns the credit-card statement PDFs you already download into a budget — right on your iPhone. No bank login, no account, no servers.

Download on the App Store

Free for your first 150 transactions. iPhone only, for now.

How it works

  1. Download a statement from your card issuer's website or app — the PDF or CSV they already give you every month.
  2. Open it in Local Budget (or share it straight from Files or Safari). Every transaction is read on your phone — scanned and photographed statements work too.
  3. See where your money goes: categories, budgets, trends, bills.

What you get

What it costs

Your first 150 imported transactions are free — a couple of months of real use, enough to know if it works for you. After that, unlimited importing is a small monthly or yearly subscription (exact pricing for your region is on the App Store). That's the entire business model: you pay for the app. No ads, no selling data, no "free" funded by your information.

Privacy

Everything happens on your phone. There's no bank connection, no account system, and no server on the other end — your financial data has nowhere to go. You can verify this on the App Store listing: the privacy label reads "Data Not Collected."

What if it can't read my statement?

It handles the major U.S. and Canadian card formats, and CSV import covers nearly everything else. If a statement doesn't parse correctly, email it in — parser fixes ship fast, and every unusual statement makes the app better for the next person.
